Visual Identity for "Business Reporting on the SDGs"

Visual Identity | Strategic Branding | Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration

The Challenge

The United Nations Global Compact and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) needed a refreshed visual identity for their joint flagship program, Business Reporting on the SDGs. The goal: to enhance visibility, usability, and coherence across materials while aligning with both organizations' established branding.

The Approach

Led the development of a new visual style that clearly communicated the program’s purpose and professional standing. The project involved:

  • Defining a visual direction that reflected the maturity and credibility of the SDG reporting landscape  
  • Ensuring alignment with the UN and GRI brand guidelines  
  • Designing a flexible identity system for use across reports, presentations, and digital formats  
  • Collaborating closely with creative agency Radley Yeldar throughout development

The Outcome


 The result was a modern, cohesive visual identity that strengthened recognition of the program and supported wider adoption among businesses engaging in SDG reporting.

The Challenge

Communicating technical frameworks like the GRI Standards and Cradle to Cradle Certified® in a way that is visually engaging, consistent, and easy to apply across channels requires a strong, adaptable brand system. The task: develop professional branding that balances clarity with credibility, while ensuring global usability.

The approach

Led the development of multiple brand identities, style guides, and toolkits to support clear and consistent communication. The work involved:

  • Creating brand guidelines and communication toolkits for GRI’s Design Standards and Cradle to Cradle Certified®  
  • Ensuring visual consistency across print, digital, and presentation formats  
  • Supporting dissemination through internal and external training materials  
  • Acting as brand guardian to maintain integrity in use and application  
  • Collaborating with Scribble Design and other creative partners to bring the visual systems to life

The Outcome

A set of scalable brand assets and tools that enable teams and partners around the world to apply the frameworks confidently and consistently—strengthening trust, recognition, and adoption.
