As a recognized public voice, Angela advocates for sustainability and product circularity in business practices. She's been a guest speaker and session chair at events across countries and industries, inspiring audiences and driving meaningful conversations and action toward a more circular future.
As Conference Director for Circular Shift 2023 in New York, Angela led the overall content development, marketing and delivery. She also designed and chaired the session “New initiatives driving large-scale transformation”, bringing together experts from different fields, who shared what they see coming up in legislation, the digital space and ESG reporting.
This conference is the flagship event of the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, and the 2023 edition furthered the organization's positioning as a thought leader in the Circular Economy, through its standard for product circularity.
At FutureBuild, the largest event for sustainable built environment in the UK, Angela led the participation of the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute with a group of partners, while moderating two sessions on the Materials Stage ("Beyond sustainability: achieve material health & circularity”, and “Beyond sustainability: achieve low carbon, healthy ecosystems and social equity”), while also securing and planning a session on the main stage. These allowed for a strong presence across the event and messages about the implementation of a circular economy by businesses clearly heard by a large audience of sector experts.
Angela organized the participation of Forethinking at SMAU Milan 2024, the Italian meeting and matching platform dedicated to innovation and startups. At the event, she advocated for the firm's circular strategies offering, through a number of speed pitches and meetings, with investors, corporates and public sector partners in the audience. The event was also live streamed on national television.
At the Sustainable Apparel & Textile Conference by the Innovation Forum in Amsterdam, Angela moderated the insightful session on “How apparel brands can engage farmers to make progress against FLAG goals”, where experts revealed programs to help navigate the complexities around the SBTi’s FLAG Guidance (the world’s first framework for companies in land-intensive sectors to set science-based targets around land-based emission reductions and removals).
As a guest speaker for the talk "Future of Jeans", part of the participative event Genova JEANS, Angela advocated for the importance of certification for product circularity, as a framework to provide standard guidance for companies that want to embrace the circular economy principles. The session, which was open to the general public and live streamed, explored the dynamic and transformative landscape of jeans in the 21st century, uncovering strategies and innovations that are driving a positive change and inspire a more conscious approach to denim production and consumption.
